Big Improvement!
Early in the season, the novice team lost to Thamesford 8-3. The team has been working hard and has learned a lot from their coaches. That improvement was seen in the second meeting with Thamesford. Port Stanley won the rematch 3-0. Goal scorers were Andrew Monteith, Parker Vaughan, and Mason Cummings. Andrew also picked up two assists. A strong defensive effort was put forth by the entire team. The defence did a great job of preventing breakaways and tying up the players in front of the net and Westin Locke recorded his first shutout of the season while turning away several key scoring opportunities. The forwards also did a great job of hustling back and backchecking.
