Tyke Select, Initiation Program (I/P), 2013-2014 (Port Stanley Minor Hockey)

As part of our annual Hockey Day in Canada Celebration, this year as a board we are excited to offer the parents(and friends) of minor hockey the first annual Hockey Day Dance.  We will be selling tickets for $10 and the night will feature a cash bar, DJ and late lunch.  Tickets will be distributed to each team's parent rep and/or manager.  For the time being if you require tickets you can see Luke Cummings, Dwayne Hartle and Belinda Lidster.

I'm excited to announce to everyone, that we've confirmed our participation in 3 tournaments so far.  On December 27th & 28th we will be playing in the Dorchester Tyke Select tournament.  This will no doubt be a challenge for the boys, but it's part of our development.  Also we'll be playing in 2 tournaments in February.  One is a one day tournament in Glencoe, the other in St. Thomas (which I'm excited about more than the other).  In preparation for this we'll unfortunately need to collect some money.  If we can get $100 from each player, we can pay for the tournaments and hopefully through ...

As part of the Minor Hockey Protocol, I would like to have a parent meeting ASAP.  I was hoping to have the parents of Tyke Red meet while the kids are practicing on Saturday morning.  Please give some consideration to volunteering for team manager and/or parent rep.  I will provide expectations of both positions at the parent meeting.  There are also a few housekeeping items we will need to go over prior to the beginning of our season.
