Novice Rep, Novice, 2012-2013 (Port Stanley Minor Hockey)

Parents, we need to get together and discuss the next couple of months.  I would like to have a parent meeting on Saturday during practice if that works?  The agenda will be tournaments, parties, holiday ice times and anything else that you would like to discuss.  Bring your ideas with you and we can talk about them.  If we'd like to do a little more fundraising we could likely do more tournaments etc....  Practice on Saturday is at 11 (or we could do it Sunday at 7) your choice.  We can discuss it tonite!

Ok everybody.....just was contacted by the West Lorne Tournament.  This tournament is now a double knockout style tournament.  So we may only get 2 games if we're not sharp.  We open the tournament on Thursday the 8th @ 7pm vs. East Lambton(a team we are very capable of beating).  Should we win we will likely see Lambeth or Ridgetown on Saturday at 4 pm.  If we lose we could see West Lorne.  We stand a good chance seeing as though it looks like the games are only an hour long.  So lets get a couple wins under our belt this weekend against East Lambton and Dresden, and then warm-up for the ...

Just so everyone is aware, on Saturday when we visit Dresden, it will be their Minor Hockey Day.  This means that after the game we've been invited to have Lunch with the other team.  This will take place in the auditorium at the front of the arena.  Food is provided and there will also be prize draws I'm told.  Just FYI, it will be a little crazy there!

Tough loss last night boys.  I don't think the score was indicative of how we played at all.  For 2 and a half periods we were right with them!!!  If not for a couple of bad breaks that game could have been a different story.  The boys are showing promise every week and getting better every week.  I think we're on the right path.  Keep up the good work boys!!! oh and be ready for practice Sunday morning, because Marc and I have something special in store.
