Congratulations U15 Black
This past weekend our U15 participated in the regional Silver Stick Tournament in Forest, Hosted by Lambton Shores.

After two days of play, the team was able to achieve 1st place in their pool with 4 straight wins and advancing them to the semi finals.  In the semi final game they faced the Lucan Irish.  U15 was able to strike first to get on board.  They continued to work hard, putting 3 more goals on the board resulting in a 4-2 win, sending them to the final.  In the final game they faced off against the Point Edward Blackhawks.  The Blackhawks were able to sneak the first goal when one of their players executed a "Michigan". After 2 periods, the Blackhawks were in fine form with a 2 goal lead.  Going into the third, the Sailors came out working hard.   At 11:05 and 8:07 they were able to get goals 1 and 2 tying the game at 2.  Both teams continued to battle back and forth for the next 7 minutes.  Then with 1:08 left in the 3rd period,  a shot from the point sent the puck through a crowd and over the goalies shoulder to give the Sailors the lead.  With an open net they continued to defend the lead, pulling off a big win and bringing home the Regional Silver Stick Championship Banner.

Way to go Sailors!
