OMHA Champions!
The Port Stanley Novice Rep Jr. Sailors are 2019 Novice 'CC' West Champions!
The Sailors moved up to a larger centre 'CC' division this year and swept the playdowns going 18-0.
The 2019 playdowns commenced with a home and home round robin format with the Sailors playing Ilderton, Wallaceburg, and South Huron. The Sailors went undefeated obtaining the maximum 24 points.
The Sailors and South Huron Sabres advanced from the round robin into the semi finals. The Sailors swept the Sabres in three straight games earning a berth in the OMHA finals.
The OMHA finals saw the Sailors face off against the West Lincoln Wrath in a six point series. The Sailors continued their dominance as they battled the Wrath. Hard work, team work, a will to win, and a never give up attitude saw the Sailors capture the 2019 OMHA Championship.
In 18 playdown games the Sailors scored 190 goals for and had 27 goals scored against.
