Busy Weekend for Bantam LL2
This weekend saw the Bantam LL2 Junior Sailors play 3 games and come out 1-1-1.
The weekend started with a Friday night game in Port Stanley against Bantam LL1 Junior Sailors. A much anticipated game as, despite their 4 game winning streak, LL1 were in 2nd place, 1 point behind LL2 in the LMLL. The game started off with B LL1, or should I say Sam, taking a 3-0 lead over the revered LL2 team. It was an exciting game to watch as mid way through the 3rd it was tied at 5-5. LL1 came out on top by the end of the 3rd with a score of 7-5. Can't wait for the rematch. Saturday saw the team host the Ilderton Jets. This was also an exciting game. Ilderton has been unsuccessful in bringing home a win as there record is now 10 and 0. 2 coach suspensions and 1 parent being ejected from the arena was an obvious sign of frustration on behalf of both the team and the parents. The refereing was certainly no joy either. Ilderton also had a short bench as 2 players were serving suspensions. Despite all the factors involved, the Ilderton Jets seem to be bringing it on and looked like a much improved team. The game ended with a 4-2 victory for the Junior Sailors. Sunday saw the team play an exhibition game against B LL3. This game was also an exciting and entertaining game. Some excellent skills were displayed by both teams. The line of Zach, Jack and Stuart are really performing well and have displayed some excellent tic tac toe scoreing moves. Good work fellas. The game ended with a 6-6 tie. B LL3 are lookin better fellas, heads up. This Sat will see the team play the 3rd place team, the Aylmer Flames 1 in Aylmer. Oh Yeah, welcome back JM...GO SAILORS GO!!!!
