Clean Sweep of Attack Builds into Playoffs
On Feb 3rd, the Port Stanley Jr Sailors completed the regular season by taking on the Thamesford Attack in the 3rd of 3-game series. The Jr Sailors used a balanced attack to complete the season sweep of the Attack with a solid 6-0 win. The Jr Sailors wrap up the Regular Season with a 12-5-3 record.

The Jr Sailors took an early lead in the 1st period, as Ryan Meth scored on a nice deke after passes from Corson Hardwick & Aaron Brouwer. Liam Hepburn scored next by tipping in a Pernell Pasch slapshot for a 2-0 lead. Late in the first period Morgan Palmer took a pass from Ryan Meth and walked in from the blueline to put a wristshot off the goalie’s shoulder. Almost the entire 2nd period went without a goal before Ryan Meth scored his 2nd of the game as he finished a nice forecheck and pass from Evan Spangenberg while killing a penalty. Evan got his 2nd point of the game when he picked up a rebound on a Pernell Pasch slapshot, and backhanded it past the goalie for a 5-0 lead. AP Corson Hardwick completed the scoring with his 2nd point of the game when he converted a strong forecheck & pass from Ryan Daer for a 6-0 win.

With a 12-5-3 record to complete the regular season, the Jr Sailors finished tied for 5th overall in the LMLL. The next step for the Jr Sailors is a first round matchup against a very strong Ilderton Jets team in the first round.
