Atom #1 hot and cold against a determined Belmont
Atom #1 had one of their best first periods of the season but it wasn't enough against a hot goaltender and a determined Belmont team who kept the pressure on and prevented us from scoring as we dropped this one 2-0 this past Sunday in Port.
Port Stanley slightly outshot Belmont and had a great game going into the third. A hot Belmont goalie seemed to take the spirit out of the boys for the third period and the rally never materialized.
The highlight of the morning was the clinic on defense birthday boy Ethan Lessard put on. He played his position to a T and made sure the puck never got over the Blue Line when the boys were on the offensive.
Position play continues to improve and it shows as the games are becoming more exciting as the season progresses.
